yesterday was the village garden tour. A lot of pride in aguileras and broad beans. Odd pond or two. Ancient birch trees. Fairie rings. Clematis. Compost heaps. apple trees. rhubarb and lots and lots of roses. big handfuls of David Austin and Peter Beale roses. Pink, white, red, purple.
Been walking to Brockwell park of a morning. Swimming in the lido there. Swimming in the unheated pool in the lido there. Cold enough to stop the breath for a moment. But ploughed on because others were treating it as perfectly normal. The showers were good, except for the day when they were cold too. which made turned the experience from courageous to insanity.
Went to the National Theatre to see’ Threepenny Opera.” Got a ticket two minutes before it started. Sat in Row F. “Ah, now I know I’m here."

some were easy to recognize. Some were not. They were on their third bottle. “ You were always different,” one girl said. “ Enthusiastic.”
The Queen turned 90 officially. There were flags and horses and marching and drumming. And Bright dresses and old airplanes.
going for a walk shortly. Up high where the bluebells grow. The sun is coming out. got to grab the moment. In england it is often just a moment.
